Stitch Fix Review

Wearing my new Stitch Fix top and I am getting SO many compliments! I have received several emails about what in the world this whole Stitch Fix thing is, so I thought I would share! I heard about Stitch Fix a few months ago and was very hesitant. I do zero online shopping for clothes because I tend to wear different sizes depending on the style and brand. But, as I am sure many other Moms can relate, it’s really tough to go shopping with a baby! Tom is great about coming with me and entertaining Ben in the stroller…but it is still tough. Not to mention, I do not have an eye for style!

So I decided to try Stitch Fix after seeing a couple friends having great success with it. It is essentially an online personal stylist. You fill out a complete style profile – sizes, preferences, colors you like and dislike, items you would like them to send you and prefer not to be sent, etc. You can even link your pinterest board to your account so you can pin styles that you love!

I decided to do a onetime shipment to see if I liked it. There is a $20 styling fee for the box. In each shipment, you are sent 5 items. I received three tops, one necklace and a pair of pants. If I were to have hated everything in the box, I could have sent all 5 items back in their prepaid shipping bag and would have had to eat the $20 styling fee. If you love everything in the box, the $20 styling fee is credited back to you and you get 25% off of everything in the box! I also love that they send you a style card for each item to show you what you can pair the items with in your closet.

I decided to keep the three tops and the necklace and send the pants back. Everything fit perfectly – which shocked me –  just didn’t care for the style of the pants. I paid $172 for the four items. For all 5 with the 25% discount, it would have only been $182. This is more than I typically spend on clothes, but to me, it saved me the hassle of going out and spending hours at the mall trying on clothes AND I was able to get items I probably wouldn’t have picked out myself! They also have a referral program, you get a $25 credit if you refer a friend. Pretty cool!

I have already scheduled my next shipment for next month and can’t wait to see what they send me. If you are interested in giving it a try, here is my referral link!
